South Sudan National Bureau Of Standards

The directorate of Administration and Finance oversees overall organization support, general supervision, and coordination of South Sudan National Bureau of Standards activities, it is tasked to ensure providing general services to the other directorates and departments ensure effective and efficient working environment for all staff of the bureau. The directorate of Administration and Finance is consisting of 6 (Six) departments, including, department of general administration, department of Finance, department of human resource management, department of procurement, department of public relations and ICT and the department of training and development.
The following is the major activities been conducted by directorate of Admiration and Finance during the period of the report:

  • Revenue mobilization and collection of services fees for SSNBS services, in this regard, the institution is depending on retention of only 5% from the collection, and all fees and charges are collected and remitted to South Sudan Revenue Authority which 95%.
  • Continuous provision of general services for the Bureau including (public electricity, water, cleaning, sanitation).
  • Maintenance of vehicles and acquiring one vehicle to the executive director of SSNBS.
  • Preparation of the budget of each fiscal year which is always approved by the Transitional National Legislative assembly
  • Updating and reviewing of Fees structure for SSNBS services, for each fiscal year.
  • Payment of membership and subscription fees for member organizations (ARSO, ISO) that the SSNBS is a member and facilitating the physical and virtual meetings for EASC, ARSO and ISO Technical Committees and meetings.
  • Update and revise the nominal roll of South Sudan National Bureau of Standards for each fiscal year which is always prepared and approved by the ministry of Public Service and Human Resource Development.
