The Directorate of States Affairs helps take SSNBS services closer to people and businesses across the country. It works with state governments, local authorities, businesses, and communities to promote standards, consumer protection, and quality awareness.

• Coordinate SSNBS activities at state level.
• Work with state governments and local authorities.
• Support SSNBS offices and activities outside Headquarters.
• Facilitate inspection and consumer protection activities.
• Promote standards awareness and public sensitization.
• Identify standards and quality needs in the states.
• Connect state-level stakeholders with SSNBS Headquarters.
• Monitor and report on activities in the states.
• Promote wider access to SSNBS services.
