• How do I apply for the SSNBS Quality Mark?

    The SSNBS Quality Mark is awarded to products that have been assessed and confirmed to meet the applicable South Sudan Standards, technical regulations, and quality requirements. It gives consumers confidence that certified products meet the required standards for quality, safety, and performance.

    How to Apply:

    To apply for the SSNBS Quality Mark, applicants should: Complete the Quality Mark Application Form.

    New applicants should also complete the Initial Facility Assessment Form.

    Provide valid company registration documents.

    Pay the applicable certification fees.

    Obtain the relevant South Sudan Standard or approved product specification.

    Once the application is received, SSNBS will assess the production facility and collect product samples for laboratory testing. Where the facility and products meet the applicable requirements, SSNBS may recommend the issuance of a permit to use the SSNBS Quality Mark.

  • What is PVoC?

    PVoC (Pre-Export Verification of Conformity) is a conformity assessment programme designed to verify that regulated goods being imported into South Sudan comply with applicable South Sudan Standards, technical regulations and approved specifications before they are shipped to South Sudan.

    Depending on the applicable certification route, the process may include document review, inspection, sampling, laboratory testing and issuance of a Certificate of Conformity (CoC). The CoC is used to demonstrate that the shipment has met the applicable conformity requirements.

    The programme helps protect consumers, prevent substandard and unsafe goods from entering the country, and facilitate compliant trade.

  • Who provides PVoC services in South Sudan?

    PVoC is a SSNBS conformity assessment programme, implemented through appointed/contracted conformity assessment companies.

    Currently the following companies:
    Frame Work Solutions Ltd in partnership with Alberk QA International Technical Control and Certification Corporation, Turkey.
    Ken Capital (Inc.) and Ltd in partnership with XpertConsult FZCO, Dubai. and

  • How do I submit a sample for laboratory testing?

    Contact the SSNBS Laboratory and Testing Services Department before submitting your sample. You will be guided on the appropriate sample type, quantity, packaging, test requirements and applicable fees. The SSNBS laboratories provide testing services, including general chemical and microbiological testing, among other technical services. When submitting a sample, provide sufficient information about the product and the tests required so that the laboratory can determine the appropriate testing procedure.
